Nathon Beach

       is at the front of the beach or the western shore of the island. It’s the center of the transportation which are the ferry from Kanom, Express baots Song Serm from Surat Thaini, and Ko Samui-Ko Pha Ngan ferry, including a day trip boat for Ang Thong Island and the bus ticket to Bangkok. Moreover Haad Na Thon is a center of government offices to the shopping souvenir and food center. This beach is perfect for a promenade. There’s a street alongside the beach and little fresh seafood shops by the locals. Tourists can buy them at the cheap price. It is also a beautiful sunset sight in Ko Samui. Haad Na Thon can be like a lighthouse at night for giving a signal to the fishermen in the sea.

 

Bang Makam

       The beach next to the north of Nathon. The beach is wide. There are rocks and reefs however during low tide, visitors can stroll down to the beach. Ideal for watching the sunset.

 

Bang Por Beach

       Haad Bang Po is in the west of Ko Samuim between Haad Na Thon and Haad Mae Nam. It’s a very private beach. You can see Pha Ngan island from here. There are also cheap seafood shops too. Tourists can enjoy snorkeling at Laem Set, Ao Tong Takien and Ao Tong Yang. After enjoying the sea tourists can visit the waterfall in Ko Samui to feel the variety of the island.

 

Mae Nam Beach

       Haad Mae Nam is between Haad Bo Put and Haad Bang Pho. It’s a peaceful beach but you have to careful for swimming because of it’s deep and wavy water. Moreover tourists can enjoy seeing a hundred year old community. It’s also the pier for Pha Ngan Island, which is at 12.00 daily. It takes about 40 minutes.

 

Bo Put Beach

       Haad Bo Put is at the north of the island, next to Haad Mae Nam. Lying with its curvy bay, it’s very famous for fresh seafood. Lots of seafood restaurants provide for the tourists. There’s also a famous Fisherman Village. The beach is suitable for relaxing more than swimming. Beside there’s a express boat from Ko samui to Ko Kao daily.

 

Chaweng Beach

       The most famous beach of Samui. With a length of about 6 km white sandy beach. The sand is very fine as white powder. It is popular with many tourists. There are water sports available. And offers visitors a variety of services. Chaweng nightlife is bustling with entertainment as well.

 

Cheong Mon Beach

       Haad Cheong Mon is in the north of Ko Samui. It’s a narrow beach alongside with rock lines. Calm, private, perfect for swimming, there’s a peninsula towards the sea. Tourists can snorkel at some parts of the beach.  When there’s an ebb tide, you can walk  to Ko Som.

 

Phra Yai Beach

       Haad Phra Yai is next to Haad Cheng Mon. You can walk to Ko Faan and can explore the little island. Ko Faan locates the huge seated statue of Buddha called Phra Putta Kodom. It’s also the famous attraction for tourists.

 

Lamai Beach

       This beach is as well famous beach with a beautiful curved bay and coconut trees planted in a row. Some of the beaches in deep water surge at some point. Lamai at some spot are almost as crowded in term of people, accommodation, restaurants and entertainment as Chaweng beach. One of the famous spot in Lamai beach is Hin Ta Hin Yai or grandmother and grandfather’s rock. These amazing rock formations of Hin Ta and Hin Yai are on Koh Samui’s south coast, where many years ago, a group of locals made the discovery. The rocks are well known for resembling the male and female genitalia

 

Ban Kao Beach

       The beach use to be inhabitant of sea animal due to the large area of Mangrove forest. However, the island fast development has taken away a large part of it. Today many group of local and tourists are joining hands to restore the important natural resource back.

 

Lipa Noi Beach.

       Another beautiful beach. During the low tide the shore distance that you can take a walk in to the sea is about 200 meters. If you wish to swing the best time should be during December to April when the water is higher than usual.

 

Phangka Beach

       Phangka beach in the south western side of the island. It is a quiet beach. The beach is usually a coastal fishery. What you will often see in this area is the traditional long tail boat line up along the coast. This make this place a hidden secret for local delicacies fresh local seafood restaurant.

 

Taling Ngam Beach

       The beach is in the south of Raja Ferry pier. Another famous beach for watching the sunset. Many beautiful picture are taken from here as you look at the front of the beach is home to the Five Island. When watching the sunset you can see the sun coming down between the two islands and sinking into the sea. This beach is a beach where visitors can charter a boat to travel to the island – the island snorkeling taking a fishing tour.

 

Thong Yang Beach

       A very nice sandy 1 Km long beach where the end of the beach is the location of the property that belongs to Royal Thai Navy.
